An intimate crowd of over 100 guests, partners, and friends from the media came together to join the team and executives of Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila to mark the hotel’s 10th year anniversary last September 9, 2019. The hotel first opened its doors to the public on September 9, 2009, offering comfortable living with its expansive fully furnished suites for both short-term stays and long staying guests. In September 2017, the property rebranded to the Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila, partnering with multinational hospitality management group AccorHotels.
An exclusive modern Filipino themed event was held to celebrate a decade of Filipino hospitality, featuring delectable food and live music entertainment by original Miss Saigon cast members Isay Alvarez and Robert Seña who performed eight songs including Hahabol-Habol, September, and a medley of Miss Saigon and Broadway songs. Raffle prizes were given away including room and restaurant gift certificates from Joy~Nostalg Manila, Novotel Manila, Sofitel Manila and Mercure Convention in Indonesia.
“Today, we celebrate a decade of Filipino hospitality and many more to come,” said Antoine Weinstein, General Manager of Joy~Nostalg Manila. "Tonight, we welcome and thank all partners for their continuing support and all the guests we have served with passion for the last 10 years. Thank you for your trust, thank you for the loyalty, and thank you for giving us the chance to serve you every day," added Weinstein.
The event was also graced by Joy~ Nostalg Group CEO, Jacinto Ng, Jr., representatives from Accor Philippines including Mike Brown – Novotel Manila General Manager and Area General Manager of Accor Philippines MidEco and Movenpick Brands, Puneet Dhawan – General Manager of Sofitel Manila, and Alfredo Denage – Pre-Opening General Manager of MGallery by Sofitel, Carousel Productions and Miss Earth delegates including reigning Miss Earth 2018 Phuong Khanh, and the hotel’s top corporate clients, long staying guests, brand partners, and media friends.
In his closing remarks, Joy~Nostalg Leisure Development Group’s Chief Operating Officer Dennis Tan said: “I want to say thank you to everybody who has made it here tonight. In particular, I want to say thank you to our corporate accounts and to our long staying guests who have supported us over the years. We look forward to the next 10 years of Joy~Nostalg and hoping that all of you will be here in 10 years time.”
Between 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, before and after the program, guests were taken to the interactive showrooms at the 25th Floor, featuring the hotel’s suites each with their own unique theme. The One Bedroom Suite with a Honeymoon Suite theme, the Two Bedroom Suite set-up for corporate clients, and the Three Bedroom Suite with a family Christmas theme. Each rooms theme was highlighted by staff simulating guests, completing the interactive showroom concept.
As part of the hotel’s month-long celebration, Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila is offering a special room and food and beverage promotions for the whole month of September.
