Spiral Manila Launches the Mediterranean Food Festival


Starting from January 21 to January 27 you may now take on a journey that will take you to places like Morroco, Spain, South of France, Italy, Greece and Lebanon by giving your taste buds a treat in the week-long Mediterranean Food Festival at Spiral Manila.

The Mediterranean Food Festival will have each day of the week-long festival present you a thematic culinary production inspired by the finest selection from the featured countries. Chef Julien Casse shared with us the different dishes that we can expect to taste on this week-long Food Festival.



The National Dishes from Morroco have great flavours coming from distinctive spices and flavour combinations like the Chicken Tajine, Chicken Pastilla, Seafood Couscous, Tabbouleh and Chebakia. After we which he continued with Spain which will feature specialties like Paella, Tortilla de Patata with Chorizo, Chochinillo Asado, Gazpacho and a tasteful variety of tapas.


French cuisine is definitely part of this amazing lineup and will be presenting the fresh flavours of Provence and CotĂȘ d’Azur and you guys will enjoy dishes like Bouilabaisse, Pissaladiere, Provencal Beef Daube, Anchoiade, Salad Nicoise, and light and tasty desserts like Tarte Tropezienne and Lavender Creme Brulee.

 

Of course Italy, won’t miss out as it is one of the world’s longest-standing food cultures with dishes like Veal Saltimbocca, Italian Grilled Fish, Caprese Salad, Beef Lasagna and dessert favorites like Tiramisu and Panna Cotta.


Chef Julien continued on with talking about the flavours of Greece and how it has a culinary landscape that is a culmination of thousands of years of history which produced great dishes like Moussaka, Gyros, Fasolada, Tzatziki, Greek Salad and sweet desserts like Galaktoboureko and Amygdalota.

Capping off this gastronomic journey with the land of Lebanon with its wide variety of savory dishes that are developed through its rich history and influenced by ancient Ottoman and French cultures, brings us dishes with exotic flavours such as Lamb Kofta, Sayadiyah, Tabbouleh, Hummus Beiruti with Meat and signature desserts like Baklavam Umm Ali, Cheese Kunafa and Halawet el Jibn.



This week-long gastronomic food festival all come togehter in the Le Grand Sunday Brunch featuring all of the Mediterranean highlights elevated with free-flowing champagne!

  • January 21-22, 2019: Php 2750 nett per person, for lunch and Php 3200 nett per person for dinner.
  • January 23-24, 2019: Php 2750 nett per person, for lunch and Php 3500 nett per person for dinner.
  • January 25, 2019: Php 2750 nett per person, for lunch and Php 3200 nett per person for dinner.
  • January 26, 2019: Php 2750 nett per person, for lunch and Php 3500 nett per person for dinner.
  • January 27, 2019: Php 4500 nett per person, for lunch and Php 3500 nett per person for dinner.
