Always Summer in Manila, A Staycation in Lime Resort Manila

Close your eyes and imagine a long stretch of sand. As the sun begins to set, you witness one of the most breathtaking sunsets in the world. You dip your toes into the crystal-clear infinity pool while savoring a refreshing mango shake. Now, here's the twist: this place isn't in Boracay or Palawan, but right in the heart of Manila! Looking past the ongoing reclamation at Manila Bay, you can enjoy the view from the top of Lime Resort Manila's Sky Lounge, as there are no buildings yet, just a long strip of sand. It's all about how you choose to see it!

The moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with genuine warmth by the staff, who were dressed in vibrant attire. They kindly offered me a refreshing welcome drink, and their hospitality made me feel as if I had been transported to a tropical island getaway.

A Room in the "Tropics"

I was able to check in to their De Luxe Twin Bed room with a balcony. Since I was the only one using the room, I found the 25 sqm room with 2 beds to be very spacious. It even had a partial view of the Manila Bay. The room was equipped with air-conditioning, a 32" LED flat screen TV, a mini refrigerator, a safety deposit box, a coffee and tea-maker, a writing desk, and complimentary WIFI access. There was a reading light beside each bed and a mood light to create a cozy atmosphere. The bathrooms had a rainfall shower, complete with bathroom amenities and a hairdryer.

Time to ponder and think about my weekend plans. I have events to attend near the area, and having a hotel close to the event is very convenient to me.

De Luxe Twin Bedroom with Balcony

I love that I have a working desk, fast wifi and lots of sockets, perfect for workation as I have some deadlines left to finish.

The bed was comfortable and I was able to get a good night sleep. I love that they have automated curtains to block of all the light. It also has a mood light that turns to different colors. The interior is very cool to the eyes and makes you feel like sleeping on a tropical island. They have an ongoing promo for my room around 3.8k php.

A Buffet with Rainbows

The breakfast buffet starts at 6 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. at the Bayside Buffet. There's a wide selection of breakfast food options, as colorful as rainbows. There's pancakes, cereals, bread, bacon, fruits, and some Filipino breakfast staples like fried rice, fried eggs, and longganisa. I enjoyed their rice cakes paired with coffee. Bayside Buffet is on the ground level of the hotel.

Bayside Buffet has this luxury feel with its high ceiling, golden columns, and decorations. Comfortable padded seats when you eat make dining here like a royal guest.

Relaxing at the Sky

Located at the top of Lime Resort Manila is the Sky Lounge Pool and Bar, giving you a 180-degree view of Manila Bay with all its glory and activity. From this vantage point, you can relax and take in the mesmerizing sight of planes soaring through the sky, large ships bustling in the bay, rowing teams gracefully gliding along the water, sailboats effortlessly navigating the sea, or watch the golden sun set in the mountains of Bataan.

We went there around 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and the pool was all to ourselves. The pool is only 4 feet, but you can do long lapses of swimming. I'm currently learning to swim and am glad to know that I can't drown and still manage to do my weekly swim session at the Sky Lounge Pool.

I ordered a mango shake at the bar next to the pool to complete the experience. I loved the taste—not too sweet and full-flavored mango in the drink. I felt reborn after the swim; it feels like all the stress and worries were washed out.

and More..

I went around the hotel to check the amenities, like the gym. It is an adequate gym to get a good workout done and burn those calories from the buffet. My friend that was scouting for an events place for her wedding told me to check their function hall. It can handle a sizeable number of guest, unfortunately I cant found the photos I took.

Everyday is a party at Lime Resort Manila, they have a sunset party at the Sky Deck happening at 5pm til 10 in the evening.

Spa at Lime, with their massage packages, is available on the 8th floor. Fortunately, my room is on the same floor, so I availed of the in-room massage service. I scheduled my 1-hour massage at around 11 p.m. so I could directly go to sleep after. I felt rejuvenated and sleepy after the massage, and I woke up the next day with much more vigor and energy!

My experience at Lime Resort Manila has been delightful, with the Sky Lounge and the delectable food being the standout highlights. The hotel's vibrant colors are reflected in their rooms, culinary offerings, and amenities. When I go to Lime Resort Manila, I automatically associate it with youthful energy, celebrations, and happy moments as I see guests enjoying their stay.

If you are visiting Manila or looking for a weekend staycation in the metro, Lime Resort Manila is a viable option to stay at. Location-wise, it's a premiere gateway to your next activity in Manila, may it be visiting tourist spots, food-hopping, shopping, or just staying in for the weekend.

During my stay, it felt like a refreshing summer in Manila, even if I stayed in December.
