Powerhouse communications group COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises is the most awarded organization in the Philippines and across the Asia-Pacific region at the global Gold Quill Awards 2024 given by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), reaping five Gold Quill recognitions for the Century Tuna "Saving Our Seas" Project, UNMASKED: The COMCO Mundo Write to Ignite Initiative Season 3, and Camp COMCO Mentorship Program.
“Saving Our Seas” Initiative
The Save Our Planet, Save Our Seas - The Century Tuna's "Saving Our Seas" Initiative won the Gold Quill Award for Corporate Social Responsibility and Climate Change and Sustainability Communication. The initiative is led by Century Tuna, the no. 1 tuna brand in the Philippines together with COMCO Southeast Asia, the flagship PR agency of COMCO Mundo. With the goal of saving marine biodiversity, the Saving Our Seas campaign was launched to combat the growing issue of plastic pollution and promote the concept of a plastic circular economy in the Philippines.
UNMASKED: The COMCO Mundo Write to Ignite Initiative
COMCO Mundo bagged the Gold Quill Award for Digital Communication and Social Media for UNMASKED: The COMCO Mundo Write to Ignite Initiative Season 3. COMCO's partner storytellers, content creators and bloggers across the Philippines shared moving and inspriing stories that championed the human spirit in the third season of the award-winning Write to Ignite Blogging Project. The third season of Write to Ignite was created and organized by COMCO Mundo League of Enterprises, with airasia, Babyflo and PHILUSA Corporation, Century Tuna, Licealiz and Lamoiyan Corporation, Rémy Martin, and Uratex Monoblock as its brand partners. Make-A-Wish, Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), Philippine Eagle Foundation, Save the Children and SOS Children’s Villages are this season’s non-government organization partners.
Camp COMCO Mentorship Program
COMCO Mundo’s comprehensive and intensive talent incubation initiative, industry linkage course, and apprenticeship program – Camp COMCO Mentorship Program was honored with the Gold Quill Award for Communication Training and Education.
Organized by COMCO Mundo's training and education unit, COMCO School of Communications, the Camp COMCO Mentorship Program enables its apprentices to have solid experience in the field, gain access and exposure to the industry, and kickstart the practice. One of the unique propositions of the program is its curriculum which includes learning activities like Skills Calibration, Mentorship Sessions, Strategic Communications Immersion, and Specialization Elective. In each cycle, the apprentices are grouped into mentorship houses such as House Flying Fox, House Bearcat, House Whaleshark, and House Hawksbill, enabling a more focused mentorship by each house’s respective stewards.

The awarding ceremony will happen in Chicago, USA on June 25, 2024, at the IABC World Conference.
